I bring evidence-based information to the table, you bring your health conditions and wellness goals. Nutrition counseling is more than getting a list of foods to eat. It is a highly collaborative process where we discuss your medical concerns and find practical methods to break unhealthy habits and put you onto nourishing food for life.

Initial Session (60 minute): $195

Follow-Up Sessions (30 minute): $100

Kimaya is passionate about food and healthcare. She combined her interests in food science, biochemistry, and education to earn a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Saint Louis University. She also graduated with minors in public health and interdisciplinary healthcare education - the first program of its kind in the nation. Kimaya’s dietetic residency was completed at a Chicagoland hospital. She then passed the board exam to become a Registered Dietitian, a licensed nutrition medical professional. Currently, she resides in sunny Los Angeles and continues to provide medical nutrition therapy in a hospital setting. Her clinical specialties include cardiopulmonary conditions, diabetes management, geriatrics, and dialysis.

Outside of clinical nutrition, she has implemented multiple community lifestyle improvement programs and has 6+ years of food industry experience. From growing produce from seed and assembling meals on hospital tray lines, to serving in boutique restaurants and evaluating as a food service inspector, she is well-seasoned with food in all stages of farm to table (to body).

A: The top concerns my clients seek counseling for:

If you are looking for help with a condition not listed, please email me to ask. If I am not experienced in that area, I am happy to refer you to another Registered Dietitian who is.

A: A Registered Dietitian (the medical nutrition specialist) should be accessible as many people as possible.

There are no tied commitments to bundles/packages/supplements. You lead the way in the number of counseling sessions you need to reach your goals. Feel free to stop or start again at your own pace.

  • Clearly defining your health and wellness goals
  • Detailed review of your current diet in relation to your goals.
  • Identification of the most simple, effective changes to make
  • Evidence-based rationale for making these changes
  • Discussion of expected barriers to change
  • Solutions to overcome those barriers
  • Specialized goal setting

A: Clients with this method typically have the least success as it is a large diet overhaul vs incorporation of small, simple, sustainable changes. That being said, individualized meal plans can be done. Please contact me for logistics and pricing details. I am happy to explore this option with you.

A: In short, all Registered Dietitians are nutritionists but all nutritionists are not Registered Dietitians. In some states you can call yourself a nutritionist without any formal nutrition education, training, licensing, or certification. In all states it is illegal to call yourself a Registered Dietitian without proper credentialing. To become a Registered Dietitian, the minimum requirements include: a bachelor’s degree with completion of extensive nutrition curriculum, at least 1,200 hours of supervised practice, a comprehensive registration exam, and 75 continuing professional education credits per five-year cycle.
